What Is A Parlay?
A parlay is a bet involving two or more events. The payoff is larger than making separate bets, but the catch is that every team in the parlay must win (or cover) or the bettor loses the entire bet. Some experts believe parlays are for fools. This is true only if that’s your only strategy. I find value in playing multi-sport parlays that include MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL, NCAA Football, NCAA Basketball, Tennis and International Soccer. Does this strategy work all of the time? Of course not. However, this strategy limits risk for those who like to grind out a profit throughout the year. The rewards can be too good to be true. Periodically, I will post various parlays that I would play if I were a “professional handicapper”. This blog will track the results of these selections. Note: Each post may contain fictitious bet amounts and payouts just to illustrate odds manipulation.
